Awards

We successfully held the 2026 CAIO National Training Camp and National Team Selection Competition from January 7–11. Congratulations to the 14 award recipients (13 onsite and 1 online) who earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze prizes. The 2026 IAIO Canada National Team roster will be announced soon, based on participants’ final rankings and eligibility.

2025-26 CAIO National Training Camp

Invited Only Training Camp

The 22 contestants who achieved Distinguished Honor Roll in the CAIO National Qualifier are invited to attend the CAIO National Training Camp from January 7–11, 2026. At the conclusion of the camp, four Gold, four Silver, and four Bronze prizes will be awarded based on competition performance, while all remaining contestants will receive Certificate of Distinction. The top four contestants will be selected to IAIO Canadian National Team and represent Canada at the 2026 IAIO.

Format

The training camp consists of a 3-day training session and a 2-day competition session.

  • Traning Session: 6 hrs/day from January 7 – 9
  • Competition Session:
    • Scientific Round: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (5 hrs), January 10
    • Practical Round: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (5 hrs), January 11

Eligibility for IAIO Canadian National Team 2026

  1. Be a Canadian citizen or full-time high school student in Canada.
  2. Be a high school student for the 2025-2026 academic year.

2025-26 CAIO National Qualifier Result

Awards

The 2025 CAIO National Qualifier was successfully held on November 23, 2025, with 376 contestants from Canada, the United States, Mainland China, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. 

We would like to congratulate the 22 contestants who achieved Distinguished Honor Roll (~ top 5%), the 53 contestants who achieved Honor Roll (~ top 20%), and the 113 contestants who earned a Certificate of Distinction (~ top 50%). Certificates will be sent out soon. Congratulations!
